Regarding health insurance, Augustus Johnson says in his letter of July 20 that “Employers who do not provide insurance are getting a free ride...” This idea is typical of the entire letter in that (1) read right side up, upside down, leftward, backward, or sideways, it has no basis whatever in fact, (2) if it did, there is still no reason to involve the Federal government in the situation, and (3) if there were, considering the gaggle ■ of fugitives from a Keystone Kops convention that is currently operating in the White House, do we really want to trust them with any problem that needs more thought than talk?

To the Editor:
Sunday evening I was out trying to do my part to help the VDOT crews keep the roadsides mowed, when I let my garden tractor slip over the edge of an embankment while trying to dodge a tree branch. It was precarious!
It seemed only a few seconds until a neighbor saw me and came to help. We were able to stabilize the tractor, but not move it. He left for his truck and tow rope, but before he could return, three men driving by offered to help. We were making some headway, but not quite able to clear the tractor when a fourth man seemed to appear from nowhere, brab the front end of the tractor, and I was back on the road. \
They all wore big grins and seemed to be as happy to help as I was to be helped.
I’m a relatively new resident of Rappahannock County, have had many pleasant experiences with county residents and officials, and find it a continuing joy to live in a community where people eiyoy helping each other.
I’m particularly grateful to my neighbor and the four men who stopped so quickly to help.
