proposed extremes, that the mayor and the treasurer meet their responsibilities, but do so with the help and support of others, both paid and voluntary, as appropriate.

In doing this, I ask'the support of the previous Town Council. Two weeks ago I asked Frank Reynolds to write them a letter asking that all town documentation and other items be returned to help us prepare for the audit. I followed that with another letter. The effort has only been partially successful, and I would like to reiterate our need. I would also appreciate the continuing help of the previous council, as well as any words of caution and advice they might be willing to provide.^

As the Rappahannock News said in its editorial, we need to stop refighting the election. It is a noble thought, but not supported by their editorial policy. I’ve been trying to stop re-fighting the election, but I can’t do it alone.

Our system appropriately permits the politics of the minority to be voiced. They have clearly indicated that they intend to do so. This is a process that the town has not had to experience in the past.

I believe the citizens of the community understand what is going on —but they deserve better.
