Tennis Clinics Scheduled

The Rappahannock County Park is sponsoring adult and junior tennis lessons starting with a six-week session. The junior clinics will be held Mondays and Fridays, July 29 and Aug. 1, 5, 8, 12, 15 and 19. Clinics for beginners will be from 8-9a.m., for intermediates 9-10a.m. and for the advanced group from 10-1 la.m. The cost will be $6 per lesson with four juniors required to be in each group.

The adult clinics will be held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings for beginners, intermediates and advanced players. Dates will be July 27 and 30 and Aug. 6, 10, 13, 17 and 20. Times will be 5:30-6:30p.m. for beginners, 6:30-7:30p.m. for intermediates and 7:30-8:30p.m. for advanced. The cost will be $8 per hour with players per group.

“We would like to start a weekly junior tennis night at the park. Adult volunteers would be need,” said organizer Jean Lillard.
