Thus the Disney development could actually decrease such existing business. Potential guests would be discouraged from seeking out Rappahannock County destinations already a Friday night problem.” ,
The B and B members note the ‘local growing hospitality industry” could die because it depends on marketing “open space, views, recreation, scenery, history and the ultimate escape destination of Rappahannock County.”
Guild chairman Phil Irwin said the three newest bed and breakfast business in the county are not yet members of the guild and the country inns are not members, but he said it was quite remarkable that all 12 current members approved the statement as it was presented.
