Members of the Rappahannock County Garden Club experienced an inspiring treat for their July meeting.
The group visited the garden at “Fox Flight,” the home of Robert DiNunzio in Orlean. The program announced the garden as a “Lily” garden but it was much more than that. Robert DiNunzio breeds Day Lilies but by profession he is a garden designer so his own garden is a series of surprises as one moves from one part to another. He describes the various areas as “rooms” and each one has its own special feature. Plants, sculpture, fountains, a small pool for fish, and of course many unusual Day Lilies that he has developed, create a garden to envy.
