Rappahannock New* Staff Writer *; Belle Meade Day Camp has been k real hit so far. It is located on a beautiful stretch of Route 231, on the southern end of Rappahannock. Z The camp is run by Susan Hofftnan and Michael Biniek. Ms. Hoffman has many years’ experience teaching children through junior high school age, and has three grown Children herself. This is her first time running a camp, but she feels at ease in doing so. r When she and Mr. Biniek moved to the county last fall, they both Jrished they could find jobs in the county instead of commuting to the city for their work. Ms. Hoffman continued to commute for a while, teaching remedial reading on a partJfime basis. Now, running the camp, she is able to stay in Rappahannock all of the time. Z The couple also has plans to open jl bed and breakfast this September, though much of their house is still under construction, t The main focal point of the camp 3s the swimming pool. Every morning, weather permitting, the children spend lots of free time in the jpool, playing pool soccer, kicking ‘around on a belly board, or whatever they wish. Ms. Hoffman offers swim lessons to any interested camper. .The pool is large enough to allow plenty of space for all campers.
