Kindred from as far away as Tennessee came together on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Rappahannock Park in Washington for their annual reunion. ,
Mable Bowen McClanahan, Sam Bowen, Mildred Bowen Frazier, Edna Bowen Canard, Sally Dwyer Keyser, Ruby Dwyer, Nina Bolen Cornwell, Beulah Bolen and Helen Bowen Ellis, all first cousins, descendants of Oakley H., Nina Bowen Dwyer, Ruby Bowen Bolen and Clement C. Bowen represented their respective families.
Oakley, Nina, Ruby and Clement Bowen were children of Joseph William and Annie Virginia Bowen. This old family of Welsh extraction, traces their ancestry to William Bowen who died Oct. 1. 1832.
