The girls’ junior varsity basketball team had their audience on the edges of their seats at RCHS last Thursday night.
The whole game was dose, and when the score was tied at 24 with one second to go, the pressure was on. Dawn Havstad sank her free throw to win the game, beating Clarke 25-24. .
“It was a really good team effort. It finally looked like we were working together instead of five individuals playing out there,” said Coach Emily Wingate. “We played excellent defense, and made more free throws than usual,” she added.
