Ham and Turkey Dinner

A ham and turkey dinner will be held from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Flint Hill fire department. The menu consists of old ham and turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, cole slaw, hot rolls, and assorted homemade desserts. Prices arfe $8 for adults, $5 for children and children under three each free. Proceeds benefit the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department. For more information call 675-3389.

Support Group To Meet

The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support Group will have a meeting from 2-4 p.m. on Feb. 11 at Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall. Dr. Susan Zimmer will be the guests speaker. For more information, transportation, directions or support call Pat Salmon at 675-3137.

Classes To Begin

First Responder classes begin at Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company on Feb. 20. Call 675-3389 or 675-3143 to register for classes.

Benefit Valentine's Dance

Valentine’s Benefit Dance for Spring Mountain School will be held Feb. 18 at the Washington fire hall. The Wafers, with several guest musicians, including Julie Coon, Vincent Day, Smiggy and Bill Abernathy. Warm-up by Lisa Leftwich, Eric, and David Blanchard. Admission is $5. Beer will be sold. Call 675-1458 for more information. Prizes for most romantic clothes. Snow date is March 11.

Open House Planned

Spring Mountain School in Washington will be holding an Open House from 10-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15. All interested parents are invited to observe the Nursery/Kindergarten, First/Second Grade Class, and Third/Fourth Grade Classes.

The Parents Handbook, tuition schedule, and applications for the 1995/96 year will be available, along with information about the highly esteemed Waldorf approach to education offered at Spring Mountain.

Health Screening Programs Set

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board invites persons 60 years of age and older to participate in the following Health Promotion/Screening Programs to be held at the Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center: 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 8 John McCarthy will do a program on 911 Medical Emergency; 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 24 Marion, Sharp, RN, will do Blood Pressure Check.
