The meeting was reportedly scheduled, but canceled when Board of Supervisors Chairman James Brumfield heard about Col. Bingham’s call from Dean Eckelberry, the task force chairman.
“I just feel like Ellis overstepped his bounds,” Mr. Eckelberry said. “I called to see if it was authorized by the county.”
