er systems.
My 5 year old son, Joshua, is in Carol Johnson's Kindergarten class. Mrs. Johnson is an excellent teacher. Josh is thriving under her tutelage, and his Dad and 1 couldn’t be more pleased.
My experience as a teacher, and the parent of an RCES student, has shown me that Mrs. Johnson and Geraldine Payne are not the exception in the public school system. They are the Rule! Overwhelmingly, the teachers in our public system are very good, There are a few who may have chosen the wrong profession (who among us has not had at least one of these?) But that is true in private, as well as public schools.
If we, as parents, are involved in our children’s education, regardless of where they are, and make their progress in school a top priority, our children will thrive in any setting. If education is important to us, it will ultimately be important to them.
