Prior to opening his practice Dr. Rizk worked at Page Memorial, since 1992, as an Emergency Department physician. He completed his BS and MD degrees at the American University of Beirut in 1987. After receiving his MD, he served an internship in internal medicine at AUB and an internship in general surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. From June 1988 to June of 1991, he was also a resident in internal medicine at Union Memorial Hospital. From July 1991 through June 1994, he was a Fellow in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Virginia.
* When asked why he chose Luray for his practice, Dr. Rizk stated, "We decided to move here because of my work in the Emergency Room. We like the people here and felt I could make a difference-in the health of the community."
Dr. Rizk, his wife Mary Ann, and daughter, Alexandra, recently moved to Luray.
