To Begin Feb. 20
Belle Grove Plantation will offer a six week Beginner Quilt Making course to begin Monday, Feb. 20. Classes are offered at 9 a.m.-12 noon and 6-9 p.m. All classes will be held at the house museum which is located one mile south of Middletown on U.S. Route 11. ‘
Students, taught by Margif Hockman, will learn basic quilt making techniques by constructing a six block wallhanging. Instruction will bp given in pattern drafting, color and fabric coordination, precision hand piecing, applique, hand quilting, and binding.
Participants will complete the course with knowledge of basic skills and the ability to complete any basic quilt of their choice. The cost for the six week course if $50. . ’
