The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support Group will meet and have an election from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. For further information, support or transportation please call, Pat Salmon 675-3137.

Black History Program Set

The Deaconess of the first Baptist Church will sponsor their first Black History Month service at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the church. The guest speaker will be Dr. Hortense Hinton, Dean of Student Affairs, Germanna Community College and a member of the Free Union Baptist Church, Culpepr. The guest singer will be “4 Everlasting Joy,” Culpeper, all are invited to attend this service and learn more about African American culture.

RAAC On Tour

RAAC, Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community will sponsor a “Museum of Your Choice” day trip, weather permitting to Washington, D.C. on Saturday, March 2.

A sample of shows currently at the Washington museums: “The Ashcan artists and Their New York,” Museum of American Art; “Landscape Kimonos by Itchiku Kubota,” Natural History Museum; “Liberation ‘45,” U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum; “Weston’s California and the West,” Phillips Collection; and “The New American Ghetto.” Participants will be taken to their museum of choice in the morning and will meet at a central location in the evening. . i

Vans will leave the Trinity church parking lot at 8 a.m. and return about 8 p.m. The charge for travel will be $10 per person. Sandwiches and soft drinks will be available for the ride home at a cost of $5. Mail checks with address and phone number to RAAC, P.O. Box 24, Washington, Va. 22747 by Feb. 21. Registration Underway

Rappahannock Athletic Association Baseball and Girls Softball 1996 season for mail-in registration is underway.

Registration is for 5 to 15 year old boys and girls and must include child’s name, date of birth, address, parent/guardian name and phone number. Fees are $30 for one child; $55 for two and $70 for three.

Story Hour Underway

The Rappahannock County Library story hour for pre-school children, ages 2 to 5, is underway and will continue 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays through May.

The programs of songs, finger plays, and a story will last about thirty minutes. Children will need to be accompanied by an adult.
