DiefTenbachias are most frequently used in decorating homes and other indoor areas. Plants in four to eight inch pots fit neatly on tables, desks, and counters. Plants set at floor level are usually in eight inch pots and larger. Small dieffenbachia plants, usually less than four inches, are frequently used in combination planters, such as dish gardens.
Dieffenbachias adapt well to indoor light levels including areas with low light 10 to 12 hours per day. Less light will result in plant decline. If the light is brighter on one side of the plant, rotate the plant every week or two to prevent it leaning toward the light

Dieffenbachias are true tropicals, so they should be maintained between 70F and 80F (21 to 27 degrees centigrade) for continuous-^growth. Temperatures of 55F (13 degrees centigrade) or slightly lower can produce chilling injury and subsequent loss of lower leaves. Avoid placing the plant near a door or air vents where the draft may be too warm or to cool.
