junior Gardeners
Learn From Master
The 4-H Junior Garden Club met twice during January. On Jan. 23 Mrs. Jennifer Alexander, an Extension Master Gardener, presented a program to them on forcing bulbs and flowering branches. Each member planted paperwhites to take home and force indoors this winter.
On Jan. 29 they met to make Smokey Bear Posters to enter in the 1996 Smokey Bear Poster contest.
The 4-H Junior Garden Club meets every 4th Tuesday, 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Extension Office for youth ages 9 to 13 who are interested in gardening and nature topics. New members are welcome.
