Regardless of how strong the arguments, neither side could ignore the fact that school had only been in session 12 days in the month of January. Much time is needed to prepare for such tests. Neither faculty, nor students had an abundance of time remaining in the first semester to spend on taking the examinations.
Despite determined Mother Nature, students and faculty alike are earnestly attempting to get back into the swing of things. Clubs are frantically organizing and planning events which will probably get snowed out. Besides the fact that the day of love usually brings with it bad weather, the Valentine’s Day flower sale for the SCA is still on schedule. No matter how silly it may seem to juggle snow days and make up days around extra curricular activities, having these events helps students get back on track as they prepare for a prosperous second semester.
