A Planning Commission letter dated May, 17, 1995, which the Board of Supervisors approved on June 19, 1995, specifically requests that VDOT not consider traffic changes in the county since there appears to be ho need at the present time. As president of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP), I will express our concern that this VDOT meeting appears directly contrary to that letter. Any decision bn community by-passes should be proceeded with an approved community comprehensive plan that is developed with the full participation of the community, and any change made not be for moving traffic alone, but for accomodating the community’s many needs as well. It is our concern that any increase in traffic flow in the ITS. 522 corridor will lead to added through-county truck traffic. , '
Even more importantly the Planning Commission will hold a meeting the next day on Tuesday Feb. 13, at the Amissville Fire Hall.
