A meeting on Monday, Feb. 12, at the Rappahannock County High School will provide an opportunity for interested persons to suggest locations for a proposed connector road between Route 522 south of Sperryville to Route 211 north of the community.
Meeting time is 4:30 to 7 p.m. This is an informal meeting at which Virginia Department of Transportation representatives will be available to answer questions.
Exhibits showing several suggested corridor locations will be on display during the meeting. These delineated corridors, and any corridor locations that may be suggested by others will be considered for inclusion in the study and refined as the study progresses.
Early and continued involvement of community residents who will be affected by the outcome of the study is a vital part of the proposed project, according to Bob Moore, Warrenton resident engineer.
Mr. Moore said that “this early exchange of information through citizen involvement is important to the success of the study.”
Additional meetings will be held as the study continues.
