Only three days back from winter break and students at RCHS were blessed with yet another vacation which lasted over a week. After finally returning to what was thought to be the routine, students were presented with a major rain, “ and another day of missed school.
The day that was wedged between snow and rain was anything but negative for RCHS. On " Thursday, Jan. 18, the School Board decided to eliminate the mid-term examinations for this school year. When students finally came back to school that following Monday, a sigh of relief filled the school hallways as each found out the comforting news.
The School Board felt that it would take too much time to prepare for the exams. Furthermore, they realized the curriculum needed to move forward into the second semester instead of dwelling on things already learned. Much of the school faculty agreed with this decision, not to mention the contented student body.
