Notice Of Proposed Changes To The Town Budget

(General And Water System) Please take notice that the Town Council of the Town of Washington, Virginia will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, February 14, 1996 at 7:30 o’clock P.M. in the Town Hall on Gay Street in Washington, Virginia for the purpose of considering proposed changes to the Town’s present Budget in both General and Water System categories. The majority of the budget amendments are the same changes advertised for public hearing on January 10, 199§; however, due to minor changes in the proposed Budget amendments advertised for January 10, 1996, and the desire to show more clearly the relationship of the Budget amendments to the currently approved Budget, the Town Council chose to readvertise the amendments. Citizens wishing to make their views known are invited to attend the Public Hearing and participate. A summary of the proposed amendments to the Budget is shown below. A detailed comparison of the current Budget and the proposed Budget is available for inspection at the Town Office at tire comer of Gay and Calvert Streets, during normal business hours.
