her husband concerning this and he had sent along some bonding agent to reset the stone. After this was successfully completed we took a few more pictures and headed back down the mountain.

Taking a more direct route back, only getting caught up in some briars and vines a couple of times. Sally got crowned by a good sized briar at one place and we almost had to cut her free, this part of the story is pertinent. We were within view of Pickerel Ridge road and I being a little ahead of the girls decided I'd take a few more pictures. I could not find my camera! We went over in our minds what must have taken place and it was determined that for sure I'd left the camera on the wall at the cemetery where I'd taken the last photos. The ladies waited and I returned to the cemetery. The camera wasn’t on the wall. I retraced, oar exit path and by sheer luck I found it. That briar that had caught Sally that I mentioned earlier, it had caught the caulking gun handle which was protruding from my backpack and pulled it out along with the camera.

Rejoining Linda and Sally we made our way to the road. We had made the trip and now it was a little after three.

Mountaineers were n'er so hearty

As the three of us that day.

We turned our task and labors into a novel party,

And were as glad to come away.

Tis in the blood and for its sake,

We must heed the call.

For the time we shared will good memories make,

If not, 'twas still worth while.

Having received ward since our outing I understand that one of the trio had brused and sprained big toes and another had a sore spot on the head and another had stiff knees. Yet, we're all the more determined to go again. Knowing we'll never really conquer mother nature or be exempted from scares of our battles we will make some good memories to share with the faint hearted.
