Constitution — A Brief Moment in Harmony." Dressed in a beautiful colonial gown applicable to the period of history of her speech, she was introduced by Mrs. Carl D. Longley.
This "Moment of Harmony" is considered the most productive congress in the United States. Mrs. Shackelford has put together a very informative and interesting exhibit about the Constitution and the Revolutionary War at the Museum of Culpeper History at 140 East Davis Street in Culpeper. The exhibit may be seen until October 17.
It was reported that the present membership of the Chapter is ninetynine, which includes three new members.
In other business, the budget for the year was presented and passed.
The October meeting will be a Dutch Treat luncheon at the Public House with the State Regent, Mrs. Stephen R. Hunter as the speaker.
