The Panthers' score was 44 compared to 22 for Brentsville, 86 for Manassas Park and 103 for George Mason.
In girls’ competition Meghan Fairbrother was third overall and the first Rappahannock finisher with a time of 21:43. Jessica Gheen was sixth overall and the second Rappahannock runner with a time of 22:31. Caroline Baumgardner was ninth, Emily Sims 10th, Lauren Sharp 13th Robyn Kaye 15th and Claire Schadler 17th. Sara Thomas also finished the course for RCHS.
The score was 44 for RCHS, 32 for Brentsville and 51 for George Mason. Manassas Park did not field a girls’ team.
Friday afternoon Coach David van de Graaff took the team to Williamsburg for a huge invitational meet at William and Mary Saturday. Team members took a look at the course and had a practice run on it
