The 1996-97 Master Gardener Volunteer Training will begin on Nov. 5 and will be held twice-weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays until Jan. 16. There will be a one-week break the week of Thanksgiving and a two-week break during the Christmas and New Year's holidays. The classroom hours will be 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The training is open to residents Rappahannock, Culpeper, Orange, and Madison counties and the class locations will rotate between the counties. The cost will be $75 and will include the Virginia Master Gardener Handbook.
Applications, will be accepted in the Culpeper Extension Office during October. Master Gardener Volunteers are the community educators of Virginia Cooperative Extension. They receive yearly training in order to work in the Extension offices in the counties
