Charles K. “Pete” Estes, Piedmont District supervisor, has been elected to succeed Gilkey as board chair. Roger A. Welch was appointed to fill the vacancy left by Gilkey for a supervisor from the Wakefield District. Robert P. Anderson, StonewallHawthome District supervisor was elected vice chair.
