The by right density is now one lot per 25 acres in the Conservation Zone. They will consider changing it to one per 50 acres. This would reduce the number of lots by right for a piece of property but the owner could still apply for a special exception permit.
McCarthy said that will no doubt upset some people if it happens because they would have to apply for permits to do what they can now do by right.
A group of county citizens is organizing a Trash Free Rappahannock Day and presented some information about it to the board. Hunt Harris, of Ragged Mountain Resource Center, is organizing the event which will be held from March 21 to April 18.
