Construction worker
James Monroe Myers, 69, of Front Royal died Saturday, Feb. 28 in the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester.
Mr. Myers was born March 23, 1928 in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Harrison and Daisy Jordon Myers.
He was a retired construction worker, a member of the Bricklayers, Masons Helper and Building Laborer Union Local #74 and Laborer International Union #74 of North America in Washington, D.C.
Survivors include one son Ronnie Myers of Augusta, Ga.; one brother Elmo Myers of Harrisburg, Pa.; eight sisters, twin sister Lorraine Turner of Front Royal, Edna Brown of Warrenton, Mamie Bennett, Robbie Roberts, Lucy Braddock, Rebecca Shelton, Antoni Shelton and Nettie Shelton, all of Washington, D.C. and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the TurnerRobertshaw Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ludwell Brown Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in the Good Hope Cemetery in Front Royal.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
The family will receive friends at the TurnerRobertshaw Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
