The VFW Post 1150 of Sperryville is sponsoring the annual youth essay competition in which 7th, 8th and 9th grade students are eligible to enter. Buck Payne, member of Post 1150, noted that this year’s theme, “What Patriotism Means to Me,” would give local students an excellent opportunity to express their individual opinions, thoughts and ideas while competing for valuable awards.
The students are required to submit a typed essay (300 minimum to 400 words maximum) by Sunday, March 15. There will be one winners
