Photo by Hazel Zinn-Day ANIMAL CLUB: The Rappahannock County 4-H Small Animal Club had a very informative meeting with Dr. Joe Garvin Laboratory, Director and Diagnostician from the VDACS Warrenton Regional Laboratory. The 4-Hers’ had the opportunity to use a microscope to view different types of bacteria and parasites that cause animals to become ill. Also, the 4-Hers’ learned how the heart of a dog works. The 4-Hers’ really enjoyed this very interesting topic and . would like to thank Dr. Garvin for taking time out of his , busy schedule to teach children about the work he does. Pictured here are club members Kelly McCormick, Devin Day, Carly Day, Ben Pendleton, Tommy Pendleton, Dr. Joe Garvin and adult volunteer leader, Lisa Pendleton.
