The World Missions Conference, to be held in the Shiloh Baptist Association March 22-29, will host 10 missionaries. Among that group are three Virginia state missionaries.
Lloyd Jackson, a native of North Carolina, serves as coordinator of disaster relief and prison ministry for the Virginia Baptist Mission Board headquartered in Richmond. Prior to this service, he worked for 28 years as an associate in and director of the Baptist Men’s Department of the Board. In that capacity he had overall responsibility for camps, disaster relief, church renewal, men and boys’ organizations, mission trips, and other items. He is an active volunteer on the Greater Richmond Chapter of the American Red Cross, having received the Clara Barton award of meritorious leadership — the highest award given to a volunteer.
G.C. Harbuck serves as Director of Language Missions for the Richmond and Petersburg Baptist Associations. In addition, he serves as a Missions Resource Specialist for Spanish and Migrant Ministries for the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. Among his responsibilities are establishing and
