Five years ago the
Rappahannock County Elementary School was expanded in response to a study by a consultant hired by the School Board. At that time it was decided that the High School would also require expansion of space about now.
However, most educators (perhaps some of our own here) and many private citizens now feel that the county should adopt a three school scheme — elementary, middle and high — that is common throughout the state and indeed throughout the US. This idea began taking hold in the early 1980s, although it would seem to have been common enough long before that, viz, the junior high school.
