Even in a county whose high school and students can present as professional-calibre a production of Shakesphere’s “The Tempest” as we enjoyed last weekend. Even in a county where we love our children, cheer their sports activities and musical concerts, and carefully protect our kids from harm.

Unsecured guns in the hands of a child or teen can kill, and it could happen here. Nationwide, we have seen shocking and unexpected murders committed by teenaged or even younger gunmen. This has happened in communities as wholesome as ours, and been done by kids nobody believed would ever do such a thing.
