The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Carnival will be held June 24-27 with the parade scheduled for Thursday, June 25. If you would like to participate in the parade, contact J. B. Carter at 937-4218 for an entry form.
Ladies, you still have time to sell tickets and compete for the title of Queen, Princess, or Little Princess. Winners are based on the number of tickets each contestant sells for the cash drawings held on the last night or the carnival. The age groups are: Queen, ages 14-20; Princess, ages 8-13; and Little Princess, ages 3-7. For tickets or more information please contact Sandi Carter at 937-4218.
Get well wishes go out to Iva Lam and Margaret Stover, both are recovering from surgery, and to Sandy Oliver who sprained her ankle and is on crutches.
The Homemakers Club meeting was scheduled to be held on Tuesday, June 2, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Amissville Baptist Church. They were having their International Dinner and the featured country was Australia.
Plans are in place for two of our local churches to hold their annual Vacation Bible School. The Amissville United Methodist Church has scheduled VBS July 13-17.
Amissville Baptist Church’s VBS will begin July 27 and runs through July 31.
