Association to meet
The next meeting of the Amissville area Community Association will be held on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Amissville United Methodist Church.
A committee is working to complete by-laws for the association which will be presented for adoption in the near future. If you would like to offer input, please call Interim Chairperson Steve Miller at 9374298.
A committee chaired by Donald Brown is working on plans for “Welcome to Amissville” signs which will be erected on either end of the village on Lee Highway. If you have ideas or suggestions about design or location of these signs, call Mr. Brown at 937-5999. Bob Lindquist is also working on this project.
A discussion of pros and cons of development in the Amissville area will be discussed. If you have ideas or concerns about this subject, please plan to attend to voice your opinion.

• Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. the Washington Town Council will meet at the town hall. Agenda items include: Old Business: Helicopter Landing; Town Christmas party and Holiday gratuities. New business: Review of July 4th Celebration.
• Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m. the Rappahannock School Board will meet.
