David Lee Soutter, 60, of Culpeper died Tuesday, Nov. 30 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
He was born June 14, 1939, in Culpeper to the late John Franklin Soutter Sr. and Mae Perryman Soutter.
Mr. Soutter was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed with RUS for 13 years and was an avid fan of horse racing.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ruby Elizabeth McIntosh Soutter of Culpeper and two daughters, Karen Lee Soutter of Culpeper and Kimberly Soutter Atkins and her husband^ Bill of Sperryville.
Additional survivors include two granddaughters; three brothers, Jim Soutter Sr. of Richmond, Fred Soutter Sr. and John F. Soutter Jr., both of Culpeper; three sisters, Lizzie Partlow of Culpeper, Mildred Morris of Aroda and Mabel Kennedy of Culpeper; a special nephew; father-in-law, Raymond McIntosh of Broad Run; a special friend, George Hoffman Sr. of Culpeper and a number of other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Soutter Sr. and a sister, Margaret Hall.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 4 at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. Jon Heddleston officiating.
Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.
