The Christmas sing and lighting of the Christmas tree in front of the courthouse will take place on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. Afterwards, everyone is invited to the Washington Baptist Church for the third annual Christmas Carol Celebration at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be offered following the .program. Invite a friend and come join us. Happy birthday to Mrs. Sallie Atkins on Fodderstack Road who will have her day on Sunday, Dec. 12. On Saturday, Dec. 11 there will be a children’s Christmas party at the Washington Baptist Church for preschoolers through grade six at 2 p.m. There will be games and refreshments and each child will receive a gift bag. Mr. and Mrs. John Schultz attended their grandson Eric Sengstacks’s band concert at Chantilly High School on Tuesday evening.
