Grace Woodward

Grace Evelyn Woodward, 77, of Luray died on Nov. 23 at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.
She was born on June 22, 1922, at Sperryville, a daughter of the late James Bryant Cornell and Ida Mae Dwyer Cornell.
On Oct. 14, 1945, she married Leo William Woodward, who died on July 3, 1983.
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Laverne Harlow and Sandra Kaye Breeden, both of Luray; three sons, Eddie Wayne Woodward and Jerry Allen Woodward, both of Luray and Kenneth James Woodward of Shenandoah; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are seven sisters, Virginia Mae Frazier, Elna C. Beahm, Mary Jane Waters and Katherine I. Waters, all of Luray, Frances M. Morris of Harrisonburg, Lorene Dwyer of Sperryville and Jean “Pat” Atkins of Culpeper.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Nov. 27 with burial following in Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery.
