Congratulations to Amy Payne of Waynesboro and Charles Berkeley Per Dieu III of Lynchburg who were united pi marriage on Saturday, Dec. 4 at Highland Baptist Church in Monterey. Amy is the daughter of Carl and Brenda Payne.

Mrs. Patty Jenkins and Dale were Saturday evening guests of Mrs. Cathy Pullen and Ashleigh in Washington. Dale and Ashleigh enjoyed the evening playing together.

The Sperryville United Methodist Church will have worship service at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12. Rev Merlin Shorb invites the community.

Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to Mrs. Kimberly S. Atkins and family on the passing of her father David Soutter of Culpeper who passed away on Nov. 30.

Tiffany Wayland attended a birthday party for her cousin, Nathan Almarode on Saturday at the home of his parents, Randy and Rhonda Almarode. Nathan celebrated his sixth birthday.

The Sperryville United Methodist Church will present their Christmas program entitled “The Little Drummer Boy” on Dec. 12 at 7:30 at the church. The community is cordially invited to attend.

Residents are reminded that Cooter’s Garage Band will perform every Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Cooter’s, just west of Sperryville. The Page County Ramblers are there on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. until Dec. 19. Stop by for a great time!
