Most everyone has some experience in taking pictures. This time, you need to create a story, then figure out how you’re going to tell it. You’ve got a year, so think things through on the way to work, waiting in lines, or before dropping off to sleep. Create many stories and pick the best.
Details make up a story. A farmer’s hands or a weather-beaten hat may tell more about his or her work than the face. The courthouse cat defines the nature of the Town of Washington. Pick out details on buildings, like the few staggered top bricks on a chimney of the “Comer Store” in Sperryville.
