colonel from the Pentagon to Colorado to investigate an Air Force plane crash on Pike’s Peak. The story, set against a vivid backdrop of the Rocky Mountains in winter, involves the colonel’s teaming up with a female lawyer. The adventure takes the two of them headlong into a murderous scheme wherein they have almost no chance of surviving a killer blizzard.
