Taking pictures of it BY DON AUDETTE and PAM OWEN Rappahannock News Contributing Writers Let us record what it is like to live in Rappahannock County in the Year 2000 - what people and organizations are doing; their observations on things. It’s all voluntary. Results would be kept in a special archive in the Rappahannock County Library for public use in the future. This is the third in the series of articles and it covers taking pictures of the county. When looking through a book of photographs, you are immediately lost to this world and transported to another. Time seems to stand still. You way. The most ordinary things are of interest to the future. How about special shots of Rappahannock men and their dogs, or remnants of old roads revealed after a light snow, or great Rappahannock home cooks and their famous dishes, or unpublicized Rappahannock gardens and their gardeners. Try photos of vast open fields with cattle grazing, or the backs of stores, where some are straight out' of the 1920s. Take pictures of pristine county crossroads (no gas stations, fast foods, or rental storage units), or the morning gatherings of people in the vil1 a g e
