I ate many meals at the kitchen table, that green painted table. The most memorable thing about the whole kitchen was the floor. I’d say there was as much as a sixinch slope from the upper side to the lower side, so much so that the table to be made level had little blocks nailed to the ends of the legs.
To get into the kitchen from the front of the house, one would enter via the hallway or dinning room (one and the same). I can see that string of red peppers hanging to the right of the kitchen door
