Mrs. Candace ^ Lamma, RCES Guidance Counselor, is coordinating a Holiday Collection Effort to provide supplies to deserving families in our school community during the holiday season. There is a collection box in the lobby of RCES for any of the following items: school supplies, canned or boxed foods, toiletry items, paper towels, new mittens, gloves, scarves or hats, new books, puzzles or games. • Many thanks to the Rappahannock County Park Authority for allowing Mrs. Janet Jenkins and Mrs. Jan Makela to visit their last meeting to discuss the RCHS Youth Initiatives Program sponsored by Headwaters, and the Community After School Enrichment program which is housed at RCES and is open to any Rappahannock County child in grades K-seventh.

• Don’t forget the next RCES PTO meeting on Friday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. in the RCES Library! There will be a cookie exchange for anyone who is interested. If you would like to participate and have questions about what to bring, please call Jan Makela at 987-8259.

• Danny Finney, Musician and Instrument Artist, will also be visiting RCES on Dec. 10 as part of the Artist in Residency Program. If you have a chance, please stop by and see the display of his sculptural papier-mache shakers. They will be on display in the RCES lobby from 9 a.m. to noon.
