Pageant to be held
this Saturday
The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad’s annual Miss Rappahannock Pageant will be held on April 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School.
Forum set April 13
An open forum on education will be held on Thursday, April 13 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County High school. The forum will feature three panelists.
The evening, which is free and open to the public, is made possible by the combined efforts of Headwaters, First Thursday Education Support Group and the Rappahannock County Parent/Teacher Organization.
Congressman Wolf
to visit county
U.S. Rep. Frank R. Wolf (RVA-10) will hold a town meeting on Tuesday, April 18 at 5 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library on U.S. 211. All residents of the area are encouraged to attend the meeting.
‘Town meetings are really more of a listening tour,” Wolf said. “It is very important to me to be available and accountable to the people of the 10th District. It gives me a chance to listen to my constituents, hear their views, and learn what their concerns are about the issues facing the Congress.” Wolf added, “I also encourage people to attend who want to discuss specific concerns or problems they may be having with the federal government.”
