David Massie
Hometown: Amissville Accomplishments: David Hamilton Massie is the oldest member of the sixth generation of Massies to live in Rappahannock County. He is a sophomore at Rappahannock County High School. David is very active in 4-H. He has been involved with the Rappahannock 4-H Livestock Club for seven years. He is currently the President. David is also a member of the Culpeper Swine Club and is Immediate Past President. He4s~— a charter member and Vice President of the 4-H Honor Club. David is also a Teen Counselor at Day Camp and at Junior Camp. ‘ He is a Junior member of the Culpeper-MadisonRappahannock Farm Fair Board. He shows beef cattle and swine at the Virginia State Fair, C-M-R Farm Fair, the Glenwood Show, the Madison County Fair and at the Virginia Beef Expo. He has also been a member of the Livestock Judging Team. David has received many awards including Outstanding Beef Exhibitor, Outstanding Swine Exhibitor, Senior Swine Showmanship, Grand Champion Hog, Kiwanis Service Award, County Farm Service Youth of the Year Award, I Dare You ^ Award, the Virginia Carcass Industry Award and the Pork Industry Award in Virginia. He will be tapped into the Virginia 4:H All Stars in June at Virginia Tech.
