The Rappahannock Youth Soccer League played its second weekend, Saturday, April 8.
The U-14 team, sponsored by White Oak Veterinary Service, played an excellent game against the Culpeper 3 Team at Culpeper Emerald Hill. James Jackson scored early in the game with a powerful drive. After that the game remained scoreless due in large part to the goal attending of Ricky Lee and Carter Bruce.
Culpeper did come back to score towards the end of the game and ended with a tie score of 1-1. After two games playing against tough opponents, Rapp’s U-14 remain undefeated.
The U-12 Firebirds, sponsored by Miller Brothers Construction, traveled to Madison’s Wrangler field to play Mad 1. The Firebirds have had a rough start this season dropping the second game by being shut out by a final score of 0-8.
