At its monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 4 the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee focussed on the upcoming Democratic Presidential Caucus taking place on Monday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. at The Theatre at Washington. Participation in the Caucus is open to all Democrats who are registered voters in Rappahannock County. Of equal importance to the committee were two meetings taking place this coming week in the county. Members were encouraged to attend an open forum on education on Thursday, April 13 at 7 p.m. at the high school, sponsored by Headwaters, First Thursday 4 Education Support Group and the Rappahannock County PTO. The committee was informed that the panel presentation, open discussion and workshops would be free and open to the public.
On Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Amissville Fire Hall, RLEP is sponsoring a public forum on sprawl, calling the program “Saving Rappahannock County from Urban Sprawl.” This forum will be especially timely for the Democratic Committee as Peter White, Chair of the Environment & Sprawl subcom
