Greetings everyone! I hope you all had a nice week. What about this crazy weather? My parents now have 13 inches of snow. Well, let’s see what is going on.
The dinner at the firehouse was a huge success. At 5 p.m. when I got there it wasn’t crowded, but I was told by Victoria Miller that at 6:15 or so the place was packed.
The food was really good and Sarah Latham makes the best lemon pie. I’m sure the folks in the department would like to thank everyone for their support. If they keep having these social events they just might get a new tanker truck.

The Amissville Baptist Church held its annual Pine Derby Race on Sunday.
The children in the Missions Classes made their cars, and then raced against each other. There were three winners in each of the four classes.
The Lads: first place Zach Prater, second Davey Torrance, third Sean Cordani.
Discoverers: first Amanda Prater, second Lauren Morrison, third Jenny Sutton.
Crusaders: first Billy Delavega, second Eric Sutton, third James Finney.
Ga’s: first Jessica Colley, second Beth Martin, third Megan Fraizer.
The overall winners were first Zach Prater, second Davey Torrance, third Sean Cordani, fourth Amanda Prater.
The leaders all made cars and the winners were first, Amy Hitt; second Charlotte Mills and third John Herbert!
Everyone had a great time and the cars all looked great.
The children’s choir at church put on the Easter play, The Easter Lily’s Story.
It was really cute. There was Grandma’s Flowers played by: Ashley Mantz, Luke Morrison, Amber Stuart, Abbey Clough, Felicia and Julianne Stonecipher and Sean Cordani. The Frogs were played by: James Dawson, Eric Hitt, Zachary Prater and Zachary Herbert.
