Each year the Culpeper Soil & Water Conservation District (CSWCD) awards two $500 scholarships. These scholarships are available for eligible students living in the five-county area of Culpeper, Greene, Madison, Orange and ttappahannock Counties.
Individuals should apply who are interested in an area of study that supports soil and water conservation, natural resource management, environmental science, or similar related field.
Scholarships will be awarded with a priority given to graduating high school

Youth for Understanding International Exchange is currently seeking host families for students arriving in August. The local 11 month program, under the direction of Jeanne McNear needs five to six families each year to host children from August to July.
Families need only to provide three meals a day and a family environment. “This is a great opportunity” said Mrs. McNear. Anyone interested should give her a call at 9878150.
